2013 Pinot Noir

Elegant Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir

About this wine

Double Gold Medal winner San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition. The 2013 growing season was nearly perfect, which allowed for gradual ripening. This elegant, dark, and textural Pinot Noir displays exotic spices wrapped in embracing layers of blackberry, vibrant bing cherry, Earl Grey tea, and dark chocolate. “ Fully ripe and plush, and long on black cherry fruit with plenty of palatal weight, a complete and generous Pinot that favors richness yet stays away from over-the-top excess and is well-balanced. It is defined first and foremost by fruit…” Connoisseur’s Guide to CA Wine. $1 SHIPPING AFTER ANY 12 BOTTLE PURCHASE.

Love Notes and High Praise

Great Pinot Noir only gets better with age. Well-aged wines like this are a whole other experience. Over the years the dark raspberry and cherry notes have become markedly softer and started to give way to more notes of graphite, earth, and a touch of herbs. The complexity and nuance of this wine is only going to get better over the next few years, but is well worth diving into now! This is why we love library wines, they are just that extra little bit more special. Make sure you grab a few bottles!
