2016 Mandrake Warrior & Craftsman Red
About this wine
Picked under the cloak of night, the fruit from which this wine sprung, comes from a select group of vineyards in the Paso Robles AVA. After extended maceration, the wine was aged for 12 months in a combination of stainless steel tank, French oak, and American oak barrels. The Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot that make up this classic Bordeaux blend were grown in a select group of vineyards in the Paso Robles AVA. The wine is dark red and brooding with plum and blackberry on the nose. The palate bursts with fruit and spice notes, including black cherry and black pepper. It finishes with a sweet and savory pastry, reminiscent of blueberry scone.
